Strange about this week's NFL coverage, the Buffalo market will air the Giants\Bears game at 13:00, while the Rochester market will air the Seahawks\Eagles game, Erie airs the Dolphin\Browns game.

Premiere Networks Offers ‘Early Edition’ of ‘Coast to Coast AM.’ An additional three-hours of “Coast to Coast AM” is being offered by Premiere Networks beginning this week. The company says that “Coast to Coast AM with George Noory – Early Edition” is a partial re-broadcast from the previous night that is available to existing affiliates to air from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am ET, Monday through Friday. In the same press release, Premiere reminds affiliate stations that “Coast to Coast AM” is continuing its long-standing tradition of providing live programming throughout the holidays, including music, special guest appearances, open lines and surprises on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

Zoomer 740 CFMZ gave a way a trip to Mexico to a listener recently.
The funny thing is, Libby has often advised her listeners not to travel to Mexico for safety reasons.

Mike Francesa to Host Radio Hall of Fame Ceremony. On Roy Green's August 18 show, he interviewed a New York attorney on the Epstein (apparent) suicide. Roy asked about the possibility the guards assisted in the suicide. The attorney replied "Oh _ _ _ _. I guess I can't say that on the air? Roy replied "No you can't" This interview is not available on his podcast.

Global and CBC/SRC carried coverage of the election announcement. CBC had audio troubles, sometimes the English wasn't there, and when it was there they didn't lower the candidate's French level.

Apparently Dr. Mary's recent meltdown had affected him so much that he isn't grieving over his dad's passing, just carrying on as nothing has happened. Ironically he mentioned his father last Friday regarding patient wait times.

While CBC Radio 1 Toronto local one o'clock news has its quota of misreporting on President Trump (while there is no mention of him on their sister station (Radio 2) newscast with the former Market Place Pee-In-The-Cup guy), CFRB promotes news stories at the beginning of their newscasts and don't air them. Today at 09:00, Russ Courtney promoted a story about a woman playing in the NFL. It didn't air.

Envision and GAB Partner to Distribute ‘Smart Talk Radio’ Format. The WCGO-AM, Chicago-based Smart Talk Radio format promises “no political talk.” Envision Networks and the GAB Radio Network are partnering to distribute the new 24/7 talk format to stations nationwide. The “information and entertainment” format launched its weekend programming lineup last weekend (8/17-18) with a bevy of shows focusing on food, home improvement, pet, and travel shows. It plans to announce its weekday lineup soon. Envision Networks president and CEO Danno Wolkoff says, “Time to get back to programming that we all can enjoy listening to on the radio. The debut of our weekend lineup really gets the network rolling and we’re excited to debut three new weekday daypart programs that will cover sports talk and betting, financial advice and planning, and lifestyle talk.”
