CTV Cancels Canada A.M.
Here is a great article from John Doyle on the cancellation of Canada A.M.
The low ratings were caused by the content not the lame excuse that people are getting their information from other means.
It was hardly a national program when it wasn't available on terrestrial television west of Ontario and was aired live in western Canada when most people were still sleeping.
I'm going to miss the weather clown with the overbite. 
It should be noted that none of the articles giving tribute to Canada A.M. mentions Valerie Pringle.

It's apparent that Ma Bell knew for some time that this show was going to be cancelled, and if it is true that they did not tell (most of) the staffers, didn't they learn anything from Kelly Rip-One, about respect?

Okay, let's see what went wrong with Canada A.M. today.
First, two of the six weather reports contained no weather.
The sports report mentioned only the NBA Finals and two meaningless baseball scores.
Why was Shameless O'Regan there, isn't he suppose to be in rehab? Is he still collecting his government salary? It would be ironic if he charged the taxpayers for his trip there a la Pamela Wallin.
Only other former hosts mentioned were Pamela and Norm, and a facebook posting from J.D. Roberts (The American and former d.j.).
It was totally unprofessional.
Advice to former producers of the show, don't put this episode on your resume.

This is all we need, another show with 5 women with exploding estrogen.
Anne Marie Medevac looked up to Valerie Pringle? That's what started the decline at Canada (Sam I) AM.
Helpful hints to the new producers od this show:
Don't forget to do a national weather forecast for this regional show.
Curling highlights on hourly sports report.
Make Ben look less like Eddie Munster.

Bev Thompson was moved to CTV Snooze Channel as a 'correspondent'.
She will be the most expensive correspondent on that channel, until her contract is up and wil be given the door.
The news channels are the place where they send people they want to get rid of.

The two females doing the local cut-aways on CFTO 'your mourning' at 7:25 and 8:25 sound like valley girls.
