Another Classic Rocker bites the dust
In Alberta this week and Q107 in Calgary is not longer a classic rock station. It's leaning a harder edge of greatest hits. There can't be much gas left in the Classic Rock tank in Canada.

is that really a problem these days? while floyd and zep are good and all, it's a tired format that is incongruous with adding sum 41 and green day to the mix.

Well isn't all old music pretty much tired? Most of the 80's stuff is pretty burned to a crisp now too. So is the 90's stuff. Calgary joins Vancouver & Toronto as major cities without real classic rock stations. That's significant.

Well isn't all old music pretty much tired? Most of the 80's stuff is pretty burned to a crisp now too. So is the 90's stuff. Calgary joins Vancouver & Toronto as major cities without real classic rock stations. That's significant.
well toronna still has the once-mighty Q107....but also witness ottawa losing the Bear but decent ratings for CHEZ...

Corus is making a string of edgy moves with format shifts and rebranding lately. Extreme and sudden shifts tend to send listeners elsewhere - quickly. With PPM, do broadcasters have access to LIVE or weekly data?

I think they get monthly updates Bentwater. Only a portion are published.
